I was surrounded by pheasants whilst helping my niece lamb her sheep in The Scottish Borders in the spring time, and had plenty of time to observe them in the early morning and throughout the day.

When fighting cock pheasants create wonderful movements and adopt the most extraordinary positions. I felt I just had to capture them in this bronze sculpture.
